Happy holidays, crafty friends! I love writing a quilter's holiday wishlist because this time of year has us all feeling stretched thin. It's hard enough finding time to string Christmas lights, volunteer at your kid's gingerbread-making party, and gather addresses for your epic matching PJs holiday card (did cousin Kristine move again??).
That's why I'm writing a quickie gift guide. This way if anyone asks what to get you for Christmas you can simply send them this link. I've included a range of gifts with a range of prices so this list can be applied to close friends and acquaintances alike. Less hunting and scrolling online means more time sewing. MUAH. Love you mean it. 😉

How do we love thee, Panasonic Cordless Iron? Let us count the ways. Actually, there are so many reasons to love this iron that we wrote an entire blog post about The Best Iron for Quilters!
We know that any quilter would love to get this fantastic iron as a gift. No more tripping on cords, plus the price is excellent compared to other irons marketed to quilters.
All of our patterns that require templates come with printable templates at the end of each PDF. Acrylic templates, however, have some seriously great benefits, and our friends at Cut Once Quilts have manufactured the perfect templates for our patterns.
These are designed to make cutting less strenuous and more accurate. Templates are available for some of our most popular patterns — Noel, Fronds, Planetarium, and Modern Fans.
We strongly believe in quality for all things quilting. If quilters work hard to create heirlooms, the tools and supplies we use should be held to that same standard. That's why we recommend everything made by Modern American Vintage, a small business that specializes in handmade wooden quilting tools. Our favorites are the quilters clapper, hera marker, and new magnetic pin block.
With 20 stunning colors all wound on beautiful wood spools, this thread collection is the perfect holiday gift to last all year long. Perfect for hand quilting, the Evolve 8wt thread collection was designed to coordinate with each of my fabric collections.
Aurifil is a trusted brand known for the highest quality quilting thread made in Italy. So if you are planning any hand stitching in the new year, put this thread on your wishlist!
Above is the Noel quilt pattern. Quilting pattern templates like the ones I used here are a bonus included in that PDF pattern.
And speaking of my fabric collections, add some bundles or kits to your list! Duval, Evolve, and my PURE Signature Solids are available. And you can get kits from shops like Global Fiber, Lamb & Loom, Crimson Tate, and Sarah Made!
If you like to sew on the go, this is a great holiday gift. The Quilter's Cut 'n Press has one hard side meant for cutting fabric and one soft, padded side for pressing. Bring it to your next retreat or workshop and quickly flip it over whenever you need to!
What's the gift on everyone's list? Getting to choose exactly what you want! You can do that with a Suzy Quilts gift certificate which allows you to choose from over 50 lovely quilt patterns that will keep you busy all year long.
Note that our gift certificates cannot be applied to subscriptions to The Cutting Table.
Omnigrid products are a must for any new or long-time quilter. Their rulers can't be beat. Designed specifically to be able to see markings over either light or dark fabrics, they make cutting a breeze.
We also love their cutting mats, especially their rotating cutting mat that makes trimming half square triangles much faster and easier. Read more about these products plus our other Omnigrid favorites here!
Quilting gloves aren't just for free motion quilting. These are a must for any quilting on a domestic machine! The grips on the glove finger tips help to push quilts through a machine while reducing hand fatigue. We love the Machingers quilting gloves because they come in five different sizes.
Cute pairs of embroidery scissors are literally impossible to resist for anyone who quilts. These subtly colorful Gingher designer embroidery scissors will fit any quilter's style.
Prewound Bobbins
Prewound bobbins are a sweet little luxury. Yes, you could wind your own, but should you? I'm confident you know the feeling of zipping through some sewing only to be derailed by an empty bobbin. Now you have to grind to a hault and wind another one? Perish the thought!
My only note is that this could make a tricky gift for a person you don't know well. Not every prewound bobbin fits into every sewing machine. Get this gift for your good sewing buddy or for yourself.
Extra Fine Patchwork Pins
If you've never used high quality pins like these extra fine patchwork pins than ooooh boy am I excited for you! They glide through fabric like BUTTER.
Read more about different pins in our 5 Minute Guide to Quilting Pins!
Learn a new craft this holiday season and add felt to your wishlist! Get supplies to make our own felt tutorials including our DIY quilted play mat, holiday felt garlands, Halloween felt button accessories, and quilt-inspired barrettes and pins.
Our favorite place to get felt is Benzie Design which carries a line of wool blend felt as well as 100% pure wool felt (both of these are much better for sewing heirlooms than the acrylic felt at big box craft stores).
Magnetic Wrist Pin Holder
This magnetic wrist pin holder is never far from me when I'm sewing. It's an absolute necessity! Your pins will stay safe and secure while you're sewing. But they'll also always be within reach! The slap bracelet style also means that this is designed to fit any wrist. Plus it comes in five different colors!
Subscription to The Cutting Table
The Cutting Table is our monthly digital mini magazine. In addition to sewing tutorials and articles, it also includes a monthly pattern download from the Suzy Quilts' shop and discounts to our sewing industry partners.
What we love most about The Cutting Table is that it is the perfect size so that every month you don’t get overwhelmed with too much content, but just the right amount of creative inspiration and projects so that you can actually accomplish at least one in a month.
Take, for example, our block of the month. We are so excited about our botanical themed BOM in 2025. You don’t want to miss it! You could give a monthly subscription for as little as $12.99! Note: the subscription will auto renew unless canceled.
The biggest and best gift a quilter can ever wish for is a shiny new sewing machine. If you're not sure where to start when looking for a new sewing machine, we have a rundown of the best sewing machine for your budget. But nothing beats sitting down for a test drive at your local quilt shop. The employees there can answer any of your questions and you'll be able to learn which features you like and don't like. Tell your loved ones your favorite sewing machine model now!
What do you think of our list? What would you add? Tell us in the comments 🙂

I’m so happy to hear that! This Etsy shop, The Trendy Quilter, has some really cute ones.
