Laura Hopper (she/her) is a quilter who makes original designs inspired by music. She's also the past president of the Chicago Modern Quilt Guild and a board member of the Quilt Alliance. Previously, she worked for Benzie Design, Craft Industry Alliance, and Quiltfolk magazine. Her first book is called "Modern Quilts in the Second City: Ten Years of the Chicago Modern Quilt Guild." Before Laura started working in the craft industry, she was a museum curator who specialized in textile history and preservation. She continues to be active in textile curation, working with quilt industry organizations to curate exhibits. Laura lives near Chicago with her husband and daughter.
