Laura Hopper

Laura Hopper (she/her) is a quilter and felt crafter who has been hand sewing since age six. Her primary job is at Suzy Quilts as the Creative Operations Manager, and she also designs and writes felt crafting tutorials for Benzie Design. Laura is a past president of the Chicago Modern Quilt Guild and president of the Quilt Alliance. Previously, she worked for Craft Industry Alliance as a Staff Writer and Quiltfolk magazine as Associate Editor. Her first book is called "Modern Quilts in the Second City," and she is currently working on her second book. Before Laura started working in the craft industry, she was an award-winning museum curator specializing in textile history and preservation. Laura lives near Chicago with her husband and daughter.
