We are almost over the hill in our Modern Fans Quilt Sew-Along! Welcome to week 4. This week we're simply doing the same thing as last week – sewing 14 blocks. At this point you most likely have your fabric picked and templates cut, but you know what?
I hope you’ve enjoyed reading this Fab Fiber Artist series as much as I've loved researching and writing it! Be sure you get caught up with our other talented artists: Nancy Crow, Faith Ringgold, Marti Michell and Rachel Clark.
Welcome to Week 3 of the Modern Fans Quilt Sew-Along! This is where the real fun begins. So far in our sew-along we haven't actually done much sewing. Maybe you did a little strip piecing last week, but we haven't tackled full quilt bocks yet.
We're back with another amazing and inspiring fiber artist! If there ever was an artist who could inspire you to just “do you,” it’s Rachel Clark.
Rachel Clark’s one-of-a-kind wearable quilt pieces are some of the most colorful, intricate, and personal examples of fiber art I’ve ever seen.
Welcome to Week 2 of the Modern Fans Quilt Sew-Along! If you're popping in late, no need to feel left-out or stressed, we are keeping a slow pace with this sew-along so everyone can have a chance to gather any extra supplies or take that extra time to practice sewing curves.
Have you been enjoying our Fab Fiber Artist blog series? I hope so because I've never felt more inspired by the strong women who's shoulders on which I stand. If you missed reading about Nancy Crow, Faith Ringgold, Rachel Clark or Judith Scott, be sure to get caught up because today we're talking about not just an author, entrepreneur, pattern writer and fabric designer, this person can be credited by some as single-handedly saving quilting from becoming a dying art.

In my journey to learn more about the history of quilting and fiber arts, I have discovered some incredible makers, artists, thinkers and leaders. A couple weeks ago we talked about one of our founding Quilt Mothers, Nancy Crow, Marti Michell, Rachel Clark and Judith Scott.
Although the Modern Fans Sew-Along does not officially kickoff until next week, I want to give you some more color options and creative layouts to show you how versatile the Modern Fans quilt pattern really is.
