The New Horizons quilt pattern is now available! The pattern includes fabric requirements and instructions to make a multi-color version and a limited-color version, as seen here.
The limited-color version is made with just one identical block set on point, so even though you will be cutting and sewing some side-setting triangles, this quilt pattern truly is beginner friendly.
My friend Caitlyn made this limited-color version using Charley Harper fabric from Fabricworm. A fabric kit to make this quilt will be available at fabricworm.com on June 11 when the pattern is available.
Not only is Caitlyn an amazing sewist, she's also a baby whisperer. Look at sweet Joanna sound asleep in her arms. 🙂
Quilts in the Wild!
These next New Horizons quilts are brought to you by some of the sewists who made this New Horizons pattern. Aren't they inspiring?
Catalina, being the fabulous over-achiever that she is, made not just one quilt, but two! In addition to the limited-color version seen below, you can check out her scrappy baby quilt in this multi-color blog post.
Monochromatic Baby Quilt
I love the effect of the stripes and print fabric mixed with these monochromatic solids! So pretty, Claire!
Summer Snow Quilt
Even though it's June, it's never too early to start planning winter holiday quilts – especially if you want to give some away as gifts. Nuria of Fabric Stork made this festive throw quilt and is also offering it as a kit in her shop!
