The Kris Kross quilt design uses minimalism and repetition to create a stunning composition. With the bias cuts of fabric, this pattern truly shines when using stripes, as you can see in the example.
Included in the pattern are multiple color variations, so you can see how different this design can look based on fabric and color choice. I encourage you to watch the tutorial video to truly see how simple this pattern can be – even though the end result looks complex.

I really liked the design of this quilt and used it for the most recent baby quilt. Especially loved using the black and white in the same areas as the pattern for a more modern design (and not too busy looking).
My one piece of feedback is that the pattern doesn’t provide as much information that you would find in pattern books (e.g. which way to press the seams) and had to spend a little time figuring out how to make the cutting process simpler (e.g. sewing the black and pink part together and then cutting my individual strips instead of cutting everything one by one). Otherwise I really enjoyed the design I got!

Cannot recommend this pattern enough. It is my go-to for baby quilts. Done in stripes and solids, it is sharp and modern; done in soft florals it can be chic or rustic; looks great and totally different with so many fabric choices… And it is a true and true crowd/mom-pleaser every time.

I LOVE this pattern. I, too, used it for baby blankets like the other reviewers. This was my very first attempt at quilting anything larger than a table runner. Suzy, the directions were very clear and your website videos helped me work through areas I was not confident with. I am making a second one now too as this is for twins! I wish I could post a pic…Thanks so much!

I love the woven look of this pattern. I cut fabric for a twin and didn’t have them all sewn up when I needed a bday present for my stepson. I used half of the blocks for his quilt and still have as many left over for another one! He loved it. And so did everybody else I showed it to.
