Hello, quilters! I am so thrilled to sew together as we make a Perennial Quilt! You may notice that I am a new face to the SQ blog, but I'm not new to SQ quilts. I've made many Suzy Quilts patterns over the years and have been sewing for almost 20 years.

My fellow adventurers, after only a few weeks you have already made it to the end of the Adventureland sew along! Yay! Phase 4 of our mission is sewing the large triangle blocks together and trimming the quilt top. I've seen some questions in the Suzy Quilts Patterns Facebook group about trimming so we will spend a lot of time talking about options and tips to help you feel confident when making those cuts.
It's Week 3 of the Adventureland quilt sew along and just like that we are over halfway finished! If you're wondering how we can be halfway finished without ever sitting down at a sewing machine, well, that's the beauty of the Adventureland pattern.

Welcome, quilty friends! I am so excited to get back in the saddle and start a new sew along adventure with you! The Adventureland quilt pattern is a new take on a simple strip quilt. Let me tell ya, folks, this is the best modern quilt pattern for a beginner quilter, especially if you start with a precut bundle of 2.5" strips.
Party people, you did it! You finished all of your Holiday Party quilt blocks and it's time for the grand finale. Drum roll please.... this week we assemble the quilt top! That also means by next week you will have a finished quilt top just in time to kick back and enjoy your Thanksgiving celebrations (if you live in the USA).

Friends, it may feel like we just started this Holiday Party sew along, but we are already at the halfway point! Is it me or does this time of year feel like a timewarp to the holidays? One day it's August and then I blink and it's mid November.
