Welcome quilty friends to the Holiday Party sew along – the final SQ sew along in 2021. Can you believe it? It's only September but if you sewed along with us this year you already have a lovely pile of quilts to show for it.
It's time to say farewell to summer. What a bittersweet feeling! There is so much excitement and beauty in the fall, but the calm and relaxed days of summer are always special. The end of summer means we're also wrapping up our Summer Haze Tips and Tricks blog series, and soon you'll have a beautiful quilt to remind you of those last warm days of the year.
Hi Summer Haze friends! Laura here, back again with Part II of our Summer Haze Tips & Tricks blog series. I don't know about you, but I'm definitely starting to feel that hazy end-of-summer vibe. Hey, Suzy Quilts fans, Laura here! You may remember me as the guest host of the Voyage Quilt Sew Along or from my other blog posts on the Suzy Quilts website. I'm the Managing Editor and Communications Director here at SQ, and I'm excited to be back to share our best tips and tricks for making the revamped and renamed Summer Haze quilt pattern!
It's the FINAL week of the New Horizons sew along! You did it! You did it!! And even if you're still technically on week 3 or even week 1, you deserve a pat on the back. My fellow quilters, we are already on the fourth week of this New Horizons sew along! Can you believe it? By the end of this week you will have finished quilt blocks ready for sashing and assembly.
The main takeaway from this week is nesting seams and getting precisely perfect points.
Welcome back, Quiltketeers! Last week we were slicin' and dicin' so this week we are ready to hit the pedal to the metal, of our sewing machine that is 🙂 Ready to make all of the pretty blocks? This is when our quilt really starts to take shape.
