One of my favorite things about this cozy corner of the internet is how real the friendships feel. Even though we’ve never met face-to-face, it somehow feels like we already know each other! If you’ve ever felt that way, too, I have good news: we might get the chance to see each other soon. I'm headed to QuiltCon 2026!
My very first QuiltCon was in 2015, and wow — so much has changed since then, both in the quilting world and in my own life. Wanna see a funny little flashback? Check out this video. I really liked smoky eye shadow. haha!
Between a global pandemic and becoming a parent (three times!), I haven't gotten to go to QuiltCon every year, but my love for this event hasn’t changed one bit. This year I'm extra excited because I'll have my adorable sewing sidekick with me — my four-year-old daughter, Joanna!
If you see us at QuiltCon, please come say hello — and don’t be shy about a hug 🙂
What Is QuiltCon?
If you're new to quilting, you may be wondering what QuiltCon even is. QuiltCon is an annual event and quilt show presented by The Modern Quilt Guild. Each year, QuiltCon brings thousands of quilters together in a different city for a quilt show, fabulous shopping, lectures, and workshops from teachers and designers in the quilt world.
In 2026, QuiltCon will be February 19-22 in Raleigh, North Carolina. The last time QuiltCon was held in Raleigh, attendance was record-breaking with over 25,000 quilters from around the world.

With how big the crowds are, it can be hard to find people, so I'm going to make it as easy as possible for you to find me! I'll be doing two meet & greets on Friday, February 20, where I would love to connect with you to chat about quilting and take pictures!
Here I am at the 2024 QuiltCon with our Creative Operations Manager, Laura Hopper, and the Aurifil team. We were launching the brand new 8wt Evolve thread collection.
