My fellow fabric lovers, today's post is an ode to beautiful fabric and how to make it shine in your quilts. Below I have lots of photos illustrating my 3 tips for using prints with the Fireside quilt pattern. Some of these quilts even have accompanying fabric kits, so be on the lookout for those links.
Connecting quilt binding doesn't need to be a complicated process, and it most definitely doesn't need to be something you dread. This tutorial will show you the easiest way to connect quilt binding, but do you know the best part? It's also fast and looks great too.
If you're reading this post you've made it to the end of our Shining Star sew along. Someone turn on my backyard hose cause you're on fire!! Wahoo!! Just don't tell my kids or they'll come running. haha! We have had a nice slow summer with lots of puttering around in the backyard playing with the hose.
Supporting our communities and giving back is at the heart of what we do at Suzy Quilts. We've been donating to a wide array of nonprofits since 2020 and this year we aren't only fundraising—we're friend-raising!
That means we're supporting these nonprofits through a financial donation and doing our best to get the word out about the great things they are doing.
It's happening! It's finally happening! In Week 5 of the Shining Star sew along we get to put all of the pieces together and see our finished quilt blocks. Yay! This week we assemble quilt blocks.
I'm extra excited about the tips I have for you today because they are easy to apply and truly work.
