10" squares (also called layer cakes) are another popular pre-cut that allows you to have a couple of squares of each print from an entire fabric collection. There are typically 42 pieces of fabric in one layer cake. Using 10" squares to make a quilt will give it a fun and scrappy look, and there are a couple of Suzy Quilts patterns that are perfect for these pre-cuts!

Which pre-cut friendly Suzy Quilts patterns have you made?
Hi Suzy,
Happy Thanksgiving. Recently came across your website. Love your designs and your adorable helpers. I purchased Holiday Party via Paypal. Wondering if pattern is digital or paper. I do not see a confirmation from paypal of my purchase. If you could confirm via email or PM. Thank you, Michelle
Hi Michelle, thanks so much! All patterns are digital and should be sent to your inbox immediately after purchase. If you don’t see it, check your spam folder. If you still can’t find it, and have an account at suzyquilts.com, you can login and find all of your purchases. If you do not have an account, email info@suzyquilts.com and we will send you the pattern directly.
Thank you so much for this post!! Pre-cut bundles are so easy and attractive. And Suzy’s patterns are lovely. It’s wonderful to know which patterns can work with precuts.
Hello! Do you have any jelly roll friendly patterns? Thanks!
Not right now, but stay tuned to Suzy’s new pattern releases in 2022 for more pre-cut friendly options!
Hi Suzy
I am a beginner and have a few quilts lined up, but After I am done I will go all Suzy quilts! Love your modern quilt patterns. They are artistic and easy to moderate level! I am a fan! I wish you had a paper pattern because I don’t have a color printer to print the pattern out
Hi Quyen! We’re so glad you like Suzy Quilts patterns! For anyone without a color printer at home, we always recommend going to a local library, copy shop, office supply store, or shipping store like FedEx or UPS. You can use a color printer at most of those places if you’d like!
Can someone please help? The Maypole Quilt pattern seems incorrect. Has anyone else had a problem?
Hi Kim! Our small team of two generally doesn’t work on the weekends and we note on our contact page that it takes 24-48 hours to reply to customer service emails, but I happened to check our email and made an exception and just responded to your email about Maypole. Rest assured, there are no errors in the pattern and I sent some screenshots that should help you keep working on your lovely quilt! Happy quilting! 🙂
Hi,
I love your site. Where can I find the fabric you use for the back of your quilts? Do you have a place you like to purchase from?
Thanks
Hey Libby! The backs on quilts that Suzy or sample makers create come from a huge variety of shops. We tend not to get material for quilt backs from just one place and instead focus on choosing a fabric that complements the quilt top nicely! Here’s a list of some of our favorite online fabric shops that could help the next time you’re looking for a backing fabric: https://suzyquilts.com/the-ultimate-guide-to-best-fabric-online/
This was a fun article to read; I am glad to see it presented again as I must have missed it first time around. It provides a ton of inspiration for matching my precut stash with my Suzy Quilts pattern collection! I love to purchase precuts for their coordinated designs, but hate to cut them up, LOL. SQ pattenrns are a sure thing for good results so I know I won’t risk “wasting” my beautiful precut selections.
